Coronavirus - How to be safe and how to travel safe.

What I coronavirus?

A coronavirus is a large group of viruses that can cause a range of diseases in humans and animals ranging from the common cold to disease that causes serious illness and deaths.
If we check out the history of coronavirus it was found first found in human beings in 1960. There is a family of coronaviruses and are named as coronavirus. Under the microscope, its found that the virus looks like a crown so it's named coronavirus as per its structure like a crown on top of it. Among this family, some of them cause common diseases in humans that include common cold to mild or moderate respiratory illness and rest of the coronaviruses affects the animals like cattle, dog, pigs, camels, birds and much more. And sometimes the coronavirus jumps from animals to humans as it a protein layer on the surface called protrusion.

The 2019 novel coronavirus is getting a lot of attention after its breakout as its new type of coronavirus and spread from animals to humans and then humans to humans. The WHO (World Health Organization)  has named this disease as COVID-19. The Novel Coronavirus (nCov) is Zoonotic means they are transmitted between animals and humans.

Cause of Coronavirus?

The outbreak of this virus named COVID-19  in china has caused global concern and is linked to a market in Wuhan that sold the meat and lives animals and as per the theories, it originated in animals then after it's separated in humans. This coronavirus bears the similarity with the MERS virus or Middle East respiratory syndrome and the SARS virus or Severe acute respiratory syndrome.

The MERS virus disease was first reported in Saudia Arabia which in the middle east in 2012 it causes respiratory syndrome and it was the type of coronavirus and causes 483 deaths and 1180 cases by reports in May 2015 and the cases were in middle east and the nearer countries and to those who traveled there. No one was completely sure that from where the virus come but later it was researched

Whereas the SARS virus outbreak in china causes 8098 cases and 774 deaths in 17 countries between Nov 2002 to July 2003. It spread from bats to Civets and than to humans.

But this time the COVID-19 is most likely also started from the bats and then the intermediate host was a pangolin and the pangolins are heavily moved from one country to another as the people believe that they have healing properties.

How Coronovirus Spread?

When any new virus emerges we often have to learn much more about the newly emerging virus but the question is how it transmits from person to person. We know the most respiratory viruses are spread by the large droplets that come out when people cough and sneeze and the distance between the second person will be six feet the droplets fall and lands on the surfaces and thus can also transmit between the two and by touching it can also spread other viruses spread in the air.
But in the case of COVID-19, the doctor's researchers are not sure whether its droplets or airborne transmission.

Cause of Concern

The coronavirus is not seen before so there is no specific treatment for this disease. Currently, many countries are trying to make the anti-virus but it's not completely effective to date hopefully after some time we will get the antidote.

Right now the Coronavirus of 2019 majority cases are from china and many travelers brought the virus to other countries and currently, more than 3,518 cases are confirmed from different countries while more than 106,161 peoples are infected worldwide. So we need to take precautions as its spreading day after day and cause thousands of deaths and thousands of cases.
